A few years ago, Erik was caught in a riptide and nearly drowned. As he fought for his life, another current swept him up and carried him back to shore, a force he can only describe as God’s hand guiding him home. That moment changed everything. It deepened his faith, renewed his purpose, and became the inspiration for Godsend: a way to help others feel connected to God in their everyday lives, right through their phones.
In the days that followed, Erik reflected on what truly matters: faith, family, and purpose. Motivated by that clarity, he set out to use technology for good; to help others connect with God as effortlessly as they check their messages. From their living room desk, Erik and his wife Maria launched Godsend: a simple service delivering hand-picked Scripture and encouragement straight to people’s devices. What began as one man’s calling has grown into a mission to share hope and the life-changing truth of God’s Word... one text at a time.
